Soft Tissue Surgery
At Motto Farm our veterinarians are all very experienced in routine and non-routine surgical procedures. We perform numerous soft tissue surgeries daily ranging from simple stitch ups, lumpectomies and Haematomas to abdominal surgeries, caesareans, cherry eyes, entropions, ear canal ablations, soft palate resection, exploratory laparotomies, and more.
Your pets’ health is our number one priority and all anaesthetics are monitored by qualified, experienced veterinary nurses. Every step is taken to ensure your pet has the safest and most comfortable anaesthetic possible. We can provide histopathology for concerning growths and will ensure your pet is healthy and well, prior to undergoing anaesthetic. This may include pre-anaesthetic blood tests and a more thorough health work up if indicated.
Orthopaedic Surgery
Our experienced surgical team is led by our Head Vet and Owner, Dr Martin Strong.
Martin has been providing an exceptional surgical service for over 20 years and completed his Memberships in Surgery in 2001. We routinely perform Fracture repairs, Cruciate Ligament repairs-Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) and De-Angelis, Luxating Patella repair, OCD lesions, amputations, Femoral Head Excision (FHE). Most of these procedures will require the patient to stay overnight on a Constant Rate Infusion (CRI) allowing us to provide a constant analgesic (pain relief) for the patient after surgery and overnight.
